Parking Tips
- If you just book the cheapest airport car parking space you may end up miles from the airport itself , you should always check the distance from the airport that the car park is located - see our airport car parks maps section
Some airports are really big eg : Heathrow, it can take 15 minutes to drive from Heathrow terminal 1 to Heathrow Terminal 4 so for airports like these check out where the car park is in relation to the terminal that you are departing from.
- check the transfer time from the car park to the terminal, this will usually be by a courtesy coach, also check the frequency of the coaches and the times they go before you book your parking in order that you can coordinate the whole trip.
- The on site car parks are often quite automated and do not require the level of service that an off line one provides basically because you are so near the airport already. With off site airport car parks, there will be a reception where staff can help you with questions you may have, timetables for the transfer bus and sometimes refreshments.
- Transfer buses usually run quite frequently normally every 15 minutes, so allow 30 minutes from the time you aim to arrive at the car park to the time you want to arrive at the airport should you be parking at an off site car park.
- Currently we have parking at 16 Airports in the UK with a good choice of car parks at each one.
